Jaxson's Birthday

So my little boy is a One-year-old. It has been a wonderful year has this little guy in our life. Over this last weekend, I kept thinking about this time last year, and how so much has happened in our lifes. James & I were watching College Softball yesterday and I told him, "did you know that we were watching this last year while I was in labor with Jaxson." We laughed. So for Jaxson's birthday, we had a party up in Park City on Saturday. My parents have a timeshare up there and it happened to fall on this week and they offered to host everyone. So saturday we had lots of fun, and played in the pools. We took over the BBQ area, and did hot dogs (something Jaxson likes) and other little goodies. The cake, lets talk about the cake. James and I decided Thursday night to make a Tank cake, and I think we succeeded. It was actually quite fun. I think the funniest part was how enthused the hotel resort staff was about the cake. So we made a tank because Dave had given Jaxson the name of Tank because at the time he was the biggest of 3 new babies (8lbs 8ozs). We also made him his own mini cake that he devour into. Now by the time we got to presents and cake, it was way past naptime, and we could see it in Jaxson's face. Here's what happened:

I think it was one of the funniest things that could happen on your child's First Birthday. If you can't tell, Jaxson started to fall asleep, and in the video you can see him do the whole "head-bob" thing.

Here are some more pictures from the party:
