Branson Vacation

So the Clegg family was able to go on a nice long vacation this last week and a half. My parents have a time-share through Marriot and this allows them to timeshare at other resorts across the world. They weren't able to get San Antonio, so they chose Branson, Missouri because of it's closeness to relatives. We left July 2 and got home July 11. It was nice to go and vacation. Nothing was planned, the weather for the most part was nice, and the area was beautiful. We were able to spend alot of time swimming in the pool and visiting with family. Grandma Nelson, Aunt Marj & Aunt Naomi came up on the 4th and spent 2 days with us and then came up for the day on Tuesday-minus Aunt Naomi, plus Brian. We were able to do alot things there, besides being lazy. We went and played mini-golf, which was alot of fun and it was Jordan's first time. We also went go-karting-also a first for Jordan. Jordan and Grandpa went and rode a train around Southern Missouri/Northern Arkansas, and Grandma & Grandpa also took Jordan to the Dinosaur museam. Jordan has now added on new interests of trains & dinosaurs to go along with Ben 10 & Transformers.

I told James that if we ever went farther than Missouri, we would have to fly. The boys did quite well for being stuck in a car for the 2 days it took to get there and come back. I'm so glad that we bought our van, it made the journey oh so much better. I must say that the extra space comes in handy when you've got a kid with a poopy diaper and your 30 miles from the next exit.

The drive was ok, James and I would take turns driving and then playing Sudoku. I told James that if we ever decided to move out of Utah, I wouldn't mind Nebraska. It was so green and plentiful of corn. I've also decided that I don't like semis-they think that they own the rode and everytime that I would pass one, my mind was thinking "Don't hit me, Don't hit my new van!"

We came home to a home that was still in one piece, although Mesha did decide to go into heat. Mesha had been good for the kids we had watching her, and James' Mom did a good job keeping our garden and lawn alive. With that, our garden is starting to thrive. We were able to pick our first zucchini friday night and I made Zucchini parmesan-umm it was yummy. James has also picked a couple of green beans and jalapenos. I'll have to get pictures in the morning to illustrate what a wonderful job James has done.

Here's a little video blip of Jordan being thrown about in the water-James called it midget tossing.
