I had a conversation with my sister today about all the cute things that Jordan has been saying, so I decided that I had better write them down, because who knows when that'll be the last cute saying.
One of Michelle's favorites happened while she was up for the weekend.
Jordan, "Aunt Shell....You need to be treated like a princess."
That comment came out of nowhere, and of course the ahh's came out after he said that.
Another one happened the other when I was playing the piano. I usually take off my wedding ring to play, and I place it on top of the piano. When I was done playing, I went to grab my ring, and found Jordan holding onto it.
Jordan, "Mommy, here's your heart."
Oh I cute have just eaten him up.
Lately, one of his favorite phrases is, "Oh, I forgot" and he says it so seriously-James & I just laugh.
When we found out that Tyler & Kris were pregnant, I was talking to Jordan about having a new baby girl cousin. This was the conversation that ensued:
Jordan, "Mommy, I want to have a little sister."
JeNae, "Well that won't be for awhile."
Jordan, "But I really want one."
JeNae, "Ok, if you had a sister, where would she sleep?"
Jordan, "hmm. Let me think. In Jaxson's bed."
JeNae, "Ok, where would Jaxson sleep?"
Jordan, "hmm. Momma Nelson's House"
JeNae (laugh) "No, how about Jaxson gets your bed, but then where would you sleep?"
Jordan, "Momma Nelson's House"
I love this age/stage that Jordan is going through. Sometimes he blurts out random things like, "We only shoot bunnys that jump...at Uncle Paul's house."
James and I also think its funny when Jordan starts naming off body parts that hurt:
"Mommy, my elbow hurts"
"Daddy, I have a headache"
And after everything is named off that hurts, it's followed by, "I need to go see the doctor."
Then of course there are the phrases that you wish your child wouldn't say. Jordan will sometimes argues with me saying, "No, I say so". We've heard him call Mesha, "Dumb dog" (that's my fault), and use the word stupid in a sentance. It's made us realized that we have to watch what we say more carefully.
And since Jordan is communicating more clearly with people and can have conversations, it's fun to watch him interact with his uncles. It's amazing to watch grown men argue back and forth with a 3 yr old.
Now, if I could get Jaxson to talk. The only word he knows is, "Uh-oh."
