Impromptu Baby Blessing

This Christmas was awesome. Our family was treated with lots of cool gifts-trampoline, Wii, and a home theater system are just some things. But I think the best presents came from siblings coming home to visit. We were able to go to the airport Wednesday afternoon to pick up James' sister Kris from Boise-we don't get to see her often, so we really enjoy our time with her. Michelle drove home Christmas after work-we love having Aunt Shell come home. But the best part was walking into my parents house Christmas day and seeing Austin walk out of the kitchen-total shocker (although James said he had a feeling that Austin would make it home). I didn't think I would see Austin until he was done with his canine school, and we haven't seen him since the beginning of July, so having him home for a week is very awesome. We also found out that Paul & Sam decided to come out to Utah on Christmas day-so with that (two brothers living elsewhere in town on the same weekend), James and I decided that this would be the best time to bless Madison; I mean why not, when we've got oodles of family around. Luckily, I already knew where I was going to buy Madison's dress, and luckily when I went to buy it they had the right size (and it was the only one that they had). James gave Madison a beautiful blessing-he's such a good Daddy.
So here's our little family, all dressed up for Sunday. Madison's dress was beautiful, until she decided to have a blow out. We got lucky again, the poo missed the dress and tights, and all I've got to say is, " at least it didn't happen at church." Jordan's haul of presents this year-a very lucky boy.
Jaxson's haul of presents-also, a very lucky boy.

Madison spent Christmas morning asleep-not a very exciting first Christmas, but we kinda figured that, seeing that she's only 3 weeks old.

Aunt Kris gave Madison her first doll. Although she's not real interested in objects yet, this was my attempt to get her to hold onto the doll. I love her wide-eye expression.

James worked that Christmas morning (12am-8am), so he was just a little tuckered out. This is how my Mom found the boys when they were taking a nap Christmas afternoon.

Aunt Michelle with Madison

Dave found this pacifier at Harmons-I think the teeth go great with Madie's expression.

That is so awesome that you were able to bless Madison when everyone was in town! I was also very sad last night when I heard, I would have loved to have been there.
