Finally. Madison made her arrival into the world on December 4, 2009 @ 11:51am. She outweighed her brothers at 9lbs, and was 19 1/2 inches long. As far as we know she's got blonde hair and blue eyes. When I look at her, I see alot of Jaxson, and she is for sure a "Clegg" because like her brothers, she's got the Clegg nose (funny sidenote on that-all our kids have the Clegg nose and yet James does not).
The C-section went smoothly. My doctor told me when it was done that it was a good thing that we didn't hold out on a VBAC-she was a big girl. It also took the two docs to push-and I mean push-Madison out because she was still riding high. Oh yes and I can't forget this, they had "easy listening" music on while they were doing the surgery, and the song that happened to be on when they were taking Madison out was by James Taylor (I think) titled "You've got me under my skin"-suits the situation huh.
Here are some pictures over the last couple of days.
First Meeting-at least for Mommy
While hanging around in the hospital room, James would be playing sudoku while holding his little girl.
Awake.
Getting ready to go home.
I thought she looked so cute in the car seat. I had put a beanie on her head, which also looked cute, but she did not like it.
The boys meeting Madison for the first time.
Jordan had the hardest time with Mommy and Daddy being gone. Although he sounded happy on the phone when we talked, I would find out later that he would have bouts of sadness and crying. It was hard for him not being able to see me or the baby. James did suprise me though Sunday night. He brought the boys up to the hospital, and told me to look outside the window. There were my boys standing in the cold with pictures that they had drawn for me. It was so sweet-made me miss them even more.
