So I think we successfully gave Jordan a wonderful 5th birthday. He got lots of cool stuff, especially clothes (will come in handy for the beginning of the school year), got to eat yummy food, and got to watch awesome movies.
Also, yesterday my cousin (Brandon) came up with his family to visit because they're shipping off to Hawaii in the next couple of days. Tough life when you've got to work in Hawaii :)
Since Jordan's birthday fell on a Monday, we did dinner and cake over at my parents house-since we always do dinner there every Monday for family night. Jordan's favorite food right now is burritos or "tortillas" as he likes to call. Grandma Nelson asked him what kind of cake he wanted and he said, "Transformer cupcakes at Sam's Club" (I don't think it helped that we were at Sam's Club a couple days before and he saw those in the case) . Of course, Grandma couldn't say no :)
Dave came over for dinner as well (because he was up in Boise during Jordan's party), and he and James decided that it would be fun to ummm, stuff a whole cupcake in there mouths.
It was a fantastic dinner, and if you look in the pictures you can also see that Tyler & the girls also made it to dinner. Bryn is such a cutie. When I've got the camera out, if she's sad at all, she perks right up & smiles for me. Always ready to smile for a picture.
That night, we treated Jordan to TWO movies at the drive-in. We got lucky because they switched movies around on Friday, so we got to see "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" & "Toy Story 3". The boys stayed up for both movies-thank goodness for naps. It wasn't perfect (the car battery died towards the end of the first movie, so we had to rely on other cars to listen), but we still had a wonderful time!
