Ogden Pioneer Days Parade 2010

I ventured out this morning ( without James-he was at work) with the kiddos to the Ogden Pioneer Days Parade. Granted, my parents & Michelle were there as well, but they had Sonja & Bryn, so I dealt w/ 3 kiddos in the Sun all by myself (well at least for 2 hours-that was my breaking point). This year the parade was sort of blah. I really only go to the parade for the kids, but even the kids weren't entertained. Nothing exciting this year, and definitely no representation from Bonneville :( We left before the parade ended, which was fine by everyone-nobody cried a single tear.
My Dad tried to take a picture of my & the kiddos-as you tell, it didn't quite work.
Yes this is out of focus, but I think you can get an idea as to how I tried to entertain Madi during the parade.
Yep, Sun in the eyes makes picture taking a hard process-I mean, look at poor Jaxson, he couldn't even look up.
Bryn & Grandpa Nelson. Normally this girl will look & smile at me when I've got a camera. I think it was too loud for her to hear me so she could smile at the camera.
They have these horses painted (in all sorts of styles) all over Ogden. We happened to sit next to the Hill AFB horse.
Beginning of the parade=Happy Madison
Again, Sun=bad picture taking
Crazy to think that the pioneers walked across the plains (with sometimes beautiful landscapes & sometimes blah landscapes) in their layered clothes ( I barely survived my trek adventure), and into the Salt Lake valley, and said, "This is it". But I'm very grateful that they did.
