Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo 2010

I have a confession. When I was a teenager, I thought that rodeos were a stinky-white trash filled-waste of my time. In fact, there is a picture of me being all sorts of grumpy when we went to the rodeo in Arkansas when I was 16. My mind has changed. After last year, rodeos are fun, maybe because your kids have fun, maybe because it's fun to watch the bulls on t.v., maybe because it's not so white trash here in Utah. Whatever the reason, this Clegg family enjoys the rodeo. James has even mentioned about heading to Las Vegas for the PBR finals-that would fun. See, I can mix rodeo & fun together in the same sentence.
This year, we convinced Sammi to come out (with the boys-Paul was busy w/work) & go with us; more because Jordan was going to Muttin Bust, and the flyer said that there would be calf riding for kids under the age of eleven. We found out that night that are boys are too young & not experience to calf ride-it's serious business. We also learned that if the boys want to muttin bust next year, they should really wear boots (much to James dismay, he will actually have to buy his son some boots), and we have to remember helmets (luckily they had one to fit Jordan). Uncle D & my Mom also joined us for the rodeo (my Dad & Michelle were white water rafting with Kris's family).
We had a fun time, and are excited to go next year.
Jordan & James: Jordan got a hat that says, "Wool Riders Only" along with some patches & a bandana.
Jaxson & Grandma Nelson
The 4 boys: Jaxson, Moose, Jordan & Logan
Madison: She was happy the entire time
Me & David-yep actually sat with me for awhile
Apparently one of David's favorite spots to put his finger
James treated Jordan to a snowcone after the muttin bustin
