Tick, Tick, Tick, Tick

The sound I hear from the clock as I watch & wait for Jaxson to finish eating.  No matter what I give him (from chicken nuggets to sandwiches), he takes forever to eat.
Normally I wouldn't rush him so quickly, but when it comes to lunch time, we've got to go quickly.  Jaxson's preschool starts @12pm (which was our normal lunch time), so the bus comes & picks him up anywhere between 11-11:25am (which frustrates me because it isn't precise yet).  Because of this, I make Jaxson lunch & have him start eating @ 10:30am, giving him 30-45 minutes to eat & then potty.  Today I made him a small PB&J sandwich & gave him some craisens & peanuts; 25 minutes later he had everything but the sandwich eaten.  GRRRR.  In the next ten minutes with me sitting & feeding him we got half the sandwich gone, packed the other half in a baggie, and rushed out the door to the bus.  Jaxson doesn't get home till 3:30pm, so I want to make sure that his tummy is full & blood sugar up when I send him to school.

I just don't know what to do.  Any ideas for a 3 yr old??  Does anybody else's kid do this??

That timing makes it tough! Have you tried cutting his sandwich into smaller pieces {using a cute mini cookie cutter}? The is more waste, but I think it makes it more manageable for Preston. Good luck!
