Today...

Today I wanted to tell family & friends {since this one of our main communications}how proud I am of Jordan.  Today was our wards Primary Program & Jordan did such a fantastic job.  He was asked a while ago to sing one of the "Follow the Prophet" verses himself, as a solo.  He's worked hard memorizing the verse & getting the words right; and then has practiced singing that verse in front of everyone.  When it came time for him to take the microphone & sing, he did so well.  I started fighting back the tears of a very proudful mother.  I figured since I was the one playing the piano, I couldn't let myself get to out of hand or else the music would have stopped.  I've been wondering if in the end, Jordan would do it at all {at his preschool graduation he got scared when it came time for him to play his piano solo}, but he did it.

I'm also proud of Jordan for memorizing his part for the program.  I think there were two kids {Jordan being one} who actually got up there & said their parts without looking at the paper.  We've been working with Jordan to memorize his scripture {John 3:16}.  You could often hear us on our morning walks to school, or at the dinner table, or in the car, asking Jordan to say his scripture.  Now I can say that I have that scripture {and his verse for a matter of fact} memorized as well.

I've realized that kids sure do have to learn alot of things, especially with these little ones starting kindergarten.  All the things Jordan is learning right now: recognizing words, sounding & spelling out words, reading, writing etc...I'm so glad that he took the time to practice & remember these little church items.
