My "Date" Night w/ the boys

Our Elementary School won a free skate night out at the Layton Classic fun center {with discounted activities}.  So we said goodbye to Daddy {because he had work}, dropped Madi off at the Nelson household, and made our way to having fun.

Jordan & I had gone last year with his preschool class, but last year we had only done the Pirate Cove.  Tonight, with the discounts, the boys got to play on all the inflatables.  They had a blast running around & sliding/bouncing down the slides.

It's great to have a brother.....a playmate & buddy where ever you go.  Those two are so good about playing with each other.

After we were done bouncing, the boys were ready to skate....or at least attempt it.  The boys have never put on skates before so this was quite the experience.  They tried & they had a good attitude about all the falls.  No one cried or gave up.  I took the boys around {one at a time}the rink, and I swear with all the slips, their shoulder sockets might hurt in the morning.  We had brought along Jaxson's scooter & both boys were happy to put their shoes on and take a stroll around the loop.

After we skated, the boys informed me that they were hungry.  I decided to treat the boys to a lovely meal of hamburgers & fries at Burger King.  Jordan wows me...I mean WOWS me with his ability to eat when it comes to hamburgers.  He is definitely his Daddy's boy.

If you've noticed, almost every picture I took of Jaxson, he tried to strike a funny pose...silly, goofy kid :)
We then headed back home, picking up Madi along the way, and everyone went to bed.  Tired, tired kids {hopefully meaning a Saturday morning of sleeping in}.

I had such a fun night with my two boys.  It reminded me of the times we spent together, just the three of us, before Madi came & before school became an integral part of our lives.  I will treasure the memories we made tonight.

Love you Boys!!!
