The Utah Jazz!

My Brother-in-Law called & left a VM wednesday afternoon, "Hey I've got tickets to the Jazz game tomorrow night, and because I love ya, I'll let you have them".

I immediately called him back {we were at playgroup} & said "YES!".

Paul works for Frito-Lay & every once in while, his boss gets really good tickets to games.  Dave got to go last year, and I told Paul that the next time he ever got tickets he seriously needed to think about me {since he lives in Elko}.  Thank you, thank you Paul.

James had to work last night, which was a bummer, but I could not just pass on the tickets-even if I had to go by myself.  I called up Michelle, who jumped on board {and skipped institute for the night} & we made it a sista night.

We decided to take the frontrunner down, figuring that it would be better than having to find parking down in SLC.
We had great seats.....I mean, better seats than what I would ever pay for.  We were sitting inthe 25th row-gah!  I took this picture with my lense @ 18 mm so you could get a glimpse as to how close we were.

Gah!  The Utah Jazz!  Right there in front of me.
Michelle thought this was the strangest thing to have happen on the court.  Trainers stretching the players right in front of everyone-and some in some awkward positions :)
They gave us some awesome fans??  I don't know what you would call them, but they were cardboard coated in plastic & you folded them up.  You then could slap them against anything & they would make noise.  Worked perfect for making the noise during the games-so much better than clapping.
 Michelle & I
During half-time they had this juggling-piano guy come out.  His tricks were pretty cool.
He juggled the balls to hit the different keys-it was pretty cool.
2nd half warm-up; this time right in front of us so I could take better pictures {since I don't have a telephoto lens}.
I had told Michelle, before the game started- that this guy {over a couple of rows} was a "somebody" because I had seen him on tv, I just couldn't remember his name.  Right before the 3rd quarter started, Michelle said, "there's that guy"; so I quickly captured a picture {hence the blurriness}.
 Jazz starting the 3rd quarter-with a basket!
Because the game was being televised on TNT, every timeout seemed like forever.  Plus the game didn't start at 8:30, it was more like 8:45, 8:50pm.  So because of that & the fact that we had to catch the frontrunner going home {therefore going by their schedule} we had to leave right after the 4th quarter.  It kinda sucked because the Jazz had just caught up and were pulling a lead for the first time.  Oh well, I would have been more disappointed if I had paid for the tickets, but what you going to do.
Michelle was able to pull the live stats on her phone for the last part of the game.  We were sorry to see them lose :(

Michelle napping on the ride home.
It was a fun night, and I'm glad that I was able to go.
