My Morning @ ABC 4

Tuesday afternoon, I was over at my Mother-in-law's house giving my insight for the Franson family reunion {which is coming up soon-yay!}, when Jan {James' cousin} announced that she was going to be on "The Daily Dish" & "Good Things Utah" doing the cooking segments.  I turned to Jan & nudged her saying, "Why didn't you tell me?  I would have totally signed up to be in the Audience."  To which she told me that I should come anyway & hang out with her.  Ummm, Yes!  I got a hold of my wonderful Mother, and asked her to come to my house the next morning & watch my kiddos so I could go help out.

I arrived at the Studios at 8:30 am.  I came backstage to this (because they were still filming the morning news):

2 Tables for all of Jan's prep work.  The kitchen was going to used for a segment on Summer Party Food ideas before we could get in.  Oh yes, I must say, you can definitely tell when the cameras are off because of what people are saying or talking about; it was kind of funny.

For the Daily Dish, Jan made Sticky Dots: Fried Scone Dough, Caramel, Honey, Cinnamon & Sugar.  Yummo!  I ate a few of these throughout the two shows; Lace was glad to have a good breakfast ;)

While filming the segments, I got to stand right off the stage & right behind the cameras.  Such a different take to watching a show being filmed live.

Here is Jan getting ready to make the wonderful goodness.

This is ABC4's morning anchor, Don Hudson, taking control of one of the Cameras during the Daily Dish.

The Teaser Shot

I think this picture is Hilarious of Angie Larsen eating the Sticky Bites.

After filming the first show, we kicked into prep mode for the Navajo Taco segment for GTU.  Lace & Jan are working on the Chili; I think I was running back and forth grabbing bowls & I even chopped an onion {teared up too}.

Doesn't this look GOOD?? Navajo Tacos

This is what Angie left....

After the cooking segment, Jan worked on frying up the rest of the scones so anyone that wanted one could have a Navajo Taco {which I did, and it was delicious!}

Reagan, Jan, Me, Lace, Marti & Angie-What fun people!

It was such a fun experience to go and help out.  I don't think I could do a cooking segment in 4 minutes.  I would totally go and do it again :)
