As most people were leaving Monday morning, we stayed up to enjoy one more day of camping.
This is Grandma Clegg & Jordan before they left.....they were both tuckered out.
The men folk did some manly work......Between Bill, James, Steve & Andy we had a good pile of firewood for that night. We all had fun watching. Especially when it came to a log that would not split for the life of each man.
James had some good faces
Although we didn't have any Moose come through camp like last year, we did have plenty of deer pass by us throughout the weekend. This particular time, I let the boys "hunt" down the deer.
Madi had her own little cousin to play with. Evelyn & Madison sat down on this log and it was so cute that I had to take a picture.
That night for dinner, James & I smoked a piece of beef, and wouldn't ya know...I forgot to take a picture.....but....boy was it yummy. That night's desserts were plentiful & I partook of each one of them. I finally got to roast some smores-which is a must when you go camping.
I know the pictures are dark, but it'll give you an idea of how tired the boys got. Jaxson fell asleep on Jenni's lap, and Jordan fell asleep in his chair.
This would conclude the festivities of the Franson Reunion. We got up Tuesday morning, packed up, cleaned up and made it home by lunch time.
We all were excited to bathe the grodiness away.
What I learned:
I discovered that 3-barrelling my hair plus hairspray kept my hair non-greasy {didn't have to use my dry shampoo} for 4 1/2 days.
James & I are looking into a pop-up trailer of sorts for next year. We've decided that after 7 years of camping together, it would be a worthy expense. I would prefer to not sleep on the hard ground next year.
Baby wipes are wonderful.
Dutch Oven liners are wonderful.
Smores should be eaten more often :)
