One Last Hu-Rah: Denver 2011

This last week, the Clegg Family plus Grandma & Grandpa Nelson and Michelle traveled east to the Mile-High City.  Why, might you ask???  Because my parents had a week on their timeshare that needed to be used, and we thought, "Why not."

We ventured out Friday Morning, July 29....also known as our Anniversary.....and ended up in a little "Park City" esqued town known as Winter Park.

We had lots of fun.  Here's what we did:
  • Swimming....every chance the boys got, they wanted to be in the pool.
  • Winter Park Resort Family Fun Festival
  • Denver Zoo...had to go check out why this zoo is ranked in the Top 10 in the Nation; I was just happy to see animals that the Hogle Zoo doesn't carry
  • Hammond Candy Factory Tour....it was free :)
  • Invesco Field....we didn't take the tour, but we did enjoy the outside playing around the statues
  • Denver Children's Museum...we were crazy and went on the free night
  • Jack-n-Grills.....Adam Richman went there and took on the 7lb burrito challenge; James took on the "Dez".....he survived :)
  • USAF Academy....Dad showed us around & talked about his days as a Cadet; Jaxson loved seeing all the "GI Joes".
  • Pikes Peak.....a crazy awesome 14 ,000 ft adventure {with a storm coming in}
  • Buffalo Bill Museum....it was on the way into Denver, so why not ;)
  • Denver Museum of Nature & Science......awesome museum, we had so much fun :)
  • Carriage Ride
  • Denver Temple

This was a great end-of-the-summer trip.  Crazy that school starts in less than 3 weeks.  We've traveled alot this year {so far}, and it's so much fun to travel with family :)
