This last week, Madi went to Preschool. Well....kind of.
My friend Teresa, who works at NO Jr High, told me of a preschool class the students were putting on as part of their curriculum. So on Mon, Tues & Thurs, Teresa came and picked Madi up, and 2 hours later I went to fetch her.
I was kinda nervous, just because it takes her awhile to adjust to new people. But Teresa said she was very good & clicked with a couple of the students. Is it bad that it made me realize that I can't wait for her to actually go to preschool.....the free time :)
In an effort to occupy Jaxson's time, I got out some punching tools & construction paper and let him go to town. This lasted for a good 20 minutes. The kid is having a hard time not having his brother/playmate at home; I try my best, but I'm just not Jordan.
These are some fun shots I took of Madison. The camera was upstairs, she pointed, babbled, and I snapped.
Tuesday, after being perfectly fine in the morning, hit a slippery slope throughout the afternoon. I got sick to my stomach, culminating in a trip to the bathroom & some gagging. My Dad came to our Rescue that night. He brought over a pizza & kept my kids from starvation. I woke up the next morning feeling better, just tired, and my kids were happy to see me that way. Poor James though, he's got it today :(
Yesterday was Saturday which is also synonymous with soccer. Jaxson played really good. Really good. He cleaned out GPa Clegg with his 6 goals! He got so excited each time he scored.
It was a hoot to watch him play. Jordan also played a good game. He scored his 2nd goal of the season, with a really great assist {basically the kid on his team stole his thunder and he was dribbling the ball down the field}. I've realized that Jordan is fantastic as a midfielder {he's got the endurance of a runner}, and that's where he's best at. It was so great to see him on the break-away.
Today, Sunday, we are heading to the airport to pick up Austin. After about 19 months of not seeing him, we will get a whole 11 days to love on him. The boys are excited. I'm excited. It's great that he was able to come home for Michelle's wedding {which is 5 days away!!!}.
