Michelle & Derek's Wedding Weekend : Part 4

So, Derek's family put on a wonderful luncheon.  We pretty much gravitated towards the yummy dessert table-so many sweets!

There was a hiccup though.....Michelle + Nuts = No good.   Michelle had the teensy-weensy bite of a chocolate chip cookie that had walnuts in it {nobody told her}.  We immediately got some benadryll into her {because she was starting to feel nauseous & was having a hard time breathing}, and then moved her out of the bathroom & into an empty classroom so she could get a blessing.  Luckily, Michelle started feeling better.  Whoo.....

We then left to head up to Ogden to take some bridal party pictures at the Union Station.  I can't wait to see how they turn out.  After picture taking, we headed over to the Stake Center, where the decorators had totally transformed the cultural hall, into this elegant party room.

I loved the tea lanterns outside welcoming everyone in.  Michelle won a photobooth to have at the reception, which was really fun.  The tables were so cute with a bunch of fun things.

Our friend, Teresa Moon, made some fabulous cupcakes : Orange Creamcicles, Strawberry Lemonade, Funfetti, Maple Bacon, and Yellow cake with Chocolate Buttercream.

Michelle's cake turned out all right.  I'm so glad that only the top layer is cake-the rest is styrafoam.

So.....from the time that we left the Union Station to the time we arrived at the church, Michelle relapsed.  I walked into the bathroom to find her hunched over the trash can, blowing her nose silly, and seeing her face completely swollen up.  Poor Girl.  I'm tearing up just thinking about it.  Because of this, my Dad ran home to grab her epi-pen.

Heartbreaking.  All I could do was hold her while Derek stabbed her in the thigh {because I was too chicken myself to do it}.

It took about a half-hour for Michelle to de-swell & be comfortable enough to leave the bathroom.  She and Derek headed into the Cultural Hall, with Michelle sitting in a chair, with a blanket wrapped around her {because she had her dress unzipped}, so they could say hi to all their guest.

For the rest of my family, we kind of just hung out everywhere.  From eating good food {Thanks Jan for the Chicken Salad}, to taking fun pictures, to visiting, it was great.
