It's how we Roll....

So normally, in the past, I've never done anything fun for smaller holidays with the kids.  I wanted to change that this year.  So Monday night, I stayed up extra late to make cinnamon rolls for breakfast in the morning.

And because I stayed up extra late, I snuck into the bathroom to leave a message for James....

He, in turn, left me a message on the cabinet.....don't worry, our cabinets are metal, and the dryerase markers come off.

The kids were excited to have Heart-Shaped Cinnamon Rolls with Orange Juice.

The night before, James brought me home some beautiful roses...they're adding a lovely presence in the front room right now.

After lunch, my Mom came over to watch Jaxson & Madison so I could head up to the school & help out with the First Grade Party.  We didn't have any parents show up in one classroom, so I got to help out all the kids with their craft.  I really enjoy helping out, especially since alot of the kids remember me from last year {when I did music}.

And I have to say too, I think Jordan likes it when I come to school as well....he always quietly walks over {as fast as he can} to give me a hug.

I had to get a picture of the two of us together

We then came home and proceeded with our afternoon schedule.

For dinner that night, I wanted to make something special for James, but I also wanted to do something fun with the kids.

So I got out the candles, and broke out the champaign flutes.  The boys got a kick out of it.  Jaxson made a toast {"Happy Valentines' Day"}, we "clanked" glasses, and proceeded with the meal.

I made up some yummy pot stickers {from my freezer meal group}, put the rice in a heart-shaped cookie cutter {so it would be heart shaped}, and roasted some asparagus.  It was delicious!

For dessert, I also wanted to make something fun, but I hadn't thought about this beforehand, so I had to use what I had on hand.  So I whipped up some White Chocolate Pudding, with some Orange Zest, through in some Mini-Marshmallows, and mixed in some Cool-Whip.  I thought it tasted like a creamcicle....very yummy.

After dinner, the boys got in the shower, James came home, Madi got bathed, and I got to watch Glee.

I love my hubby & I love my kiddos!  It was a great Valentine Day.
