June Update

Here is an update on the Clegg Family.

Jaxson turned One, and although he is still our baby, is turning into a little boy. Jaxson is starting to talk more, and enjoys playing with his older brother. He hasn't started to walk yet, but we're hoping that that will come soon. Jaxson loves it when we go to the park, and really likes the swings. We started him on milk this past weekend, and is actually drinking it (he really likes chocolate milk). He still likes to cuddle, and doesn't really like sitting on the grass.

Jordan is one of the silliest boys around. My gosh his imagination. They say that watching tv hinders a childs creativity and imagination, but I would like to beg to differ. Jordan doesn't get to watch a lot of tv, but the shows I let him watch lend to his imagination when he's playing. He's really into Ben 10 and we've been talking about doing a Ben 10 party for his birthday. Jordan also told us the other day that he wanted a pet giraffe, a pet elephant, and a pet bunny. James just kinda laughed, I told him that only cartoon characters could have those kind of pets (Jordan got the idea from watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse). We've also been trying to work with Jordan on recognizing letters. We started going to the library for discovery time where each week they have a letter and a subject. Jordan has also learned when his birthday is. Jordan's also had a rough month with his fingers. On his right hand, he was walking Dottie, tripped and fell. He lost half of his middle finger. It's now grown back, but he still has a bruise. Then about 2 weeks ago, his left middle finger got really infected. We had to finally take him into the dr. and get some medicine. Here's a picture of the healing finger.
Aren't Uncles Funny!!!

James finished school the beginning of May, and we were really happy with his grades. He made the the Honor Roll because he gpa was above a 3.5 (I think he ended the semester with a 3.6 or something)-not too shabby. Although that brings his overall gpa, James proves that when you work hard, you can get good grades. James has also worked really hard on getting his garden in and landscaping the outside of the house. Everyday he goes out and takes a walk about the garden. The garden has turned into his relaxing time, and thats alright. I can't wait for tomatoes and cucumbers. James also had to say goodby to his truck, a car that he's had for 5 years. I've promised him that we will get another truck one day.

Nothing really new in my life. I did get strep-I hate being sick. I've also become frustrated with piano, but I trek on and know that it's extra money for the family. I'm really excited for Church softball to start; we have our first game on thursday. I'm also really excited about my new car. The Odyssey is very hip, and I enjoy driving it. James & I are also proud of ourselves in the fact that we paid for the car with cash, no loans, no interest. We were only comfortable in this because James found out that he's due for a really big raise this summer. The state has finally saw fit to pay state correctional officers the same as county correctional officers, although I'm not sure he's equal to police officers. The state correctional facilties are down in numbers (alot of people-alot) because people go to the counties because they pay more. It's sad that it might come down to a boycott and prison riot for people to understand the importance of James' job.

Any whoo, I thinks thats basically it for this past month.
