Jordan's 4th Birthday

Jordan's birthday was yesterday, and I think he enjoyed his day very much-even though it was on a Sunday. We had gone to the zoo on Friday for his birthday-which I will blog about as soon as I get my pictures downloaded-so he kinda had a birthday weekend. Yesterday also happened to be Weber States annual Pioneer Day Firework display, so because of this we had a BBQ over at James' brothers' house (Phil) because they live just down the street from the campus and their front yard had good views for the fireworks.

Phil & Adrienne's yard had shade from their trees, which was very nice with the heat that we've been having for the last couple of days. I was trying my best to be upbeat and chipper for Jordan, but my body was working overtime in trying to breathe because I was fighting sinus and cough stuff that made it around to me. I was so miserable last night which made me sad because it was Jordan's birthday.

Adrienne had put out a container of water to put some drinks in-the boys however thought that it was perfect to take cups and dump water on themselves-Jaxson was soaked the rest of the night, which was ok since it was nice and warm. Jordan got a Bumblebee action figure from Uncle D. He also got an Iron Man from Aunt Teresa and Ironhide from Grandpa Clegg.
Although I didn't get a picture of the poster, Jordan got a poster from Aunt Kris that has Bumblebee on it, and a message from him-it's pretty dang cool. I'll take a picture once I find a frame and we put it up-that'll be another puzzler, because I have no idea where it's going to go in his room-but we'll find a place!
Jordan got a big boy bike from James, Jaxson and I-I like his reaction.
This has sort of turned into a tradition-my Mom getting a pinata and the kids taking turns whacking at it.
Grandma & Grandpa Nelson got Jordan this Bumblebee helmet/voice-changer. Jordan plus the adults thought that it was pretty cool. Can you tell that my kid has a thing for Bumblebee?
This is Jordan's sprinkle-tastic cake. We were going to make him a Bumblebee cake, but as we were walking down the cake isle to pick up frosting, Jordan saw the funfetti cakes and wanted that. I asked him several times if he was sure, replying yes everytime. The cake went well with the sprinkle ice cream he chose the other week.
Jordan had a couple of helpers in trying to blow out his candles :)
We ended the night with fabulous fireworks. What more can you ask for.
