Deputies and Blankets & Videos

So not alot has been happening to the Clegg Family this week. We've been trying to keep ourselves busy during the hot days of summer, and sometimes that means going and taking a picnic to McDonalds and letting the boys run around. This next week I'll be spending a couple of days at my parents house helping my Mom out while my Dad is in Houston. My Mom had knee replacement surgery this last week, and since she's pretty much drugged-up and can't move, I-the best daughter/child in the whole world-will help her out as much as I can.
Tyler graduated from the Police Academy July 31 and can now officially arrest someone. He's certified law enforcement and corrections, so techinically he's more certified than James, but James has the years and the know how so I would say that James outranks him :) Tyler's ceremony was butt long, because they had a huge line of people to shake hands with and there were about 40 cadets graduating, plus they called out each one one at a time and made sure that everyone got as many pictures as they wanted-it was not rushed at all. Plus it didn't help that they had too many speakers talking about themselves. I was glad when it was over. I bought this fabric a couple of months ago at Joanns. I only took it because it was the last that they had, and I thought that it would make a very cute blanket if we were having a girl. Well since we are having a girl, I had some energy last night and completed Madison's blanket. It's big, not a baby blanket at all, but it'll be something she'll have for awhile and something that she can grow into. Let me tell you something about having a girl; I always thought that if I had a girl, she would have absolutely no pink in her life, because I don't like pink. My views are changing as you can tell. I don't mind pink at all, as long as it's paired with another color. I really like the Chocolate brown/pink combination, and I'm slowly realizing that I'm having a girl, and it's ok to buy girly stuff (and I'm trying to get James to realize that also :)
This video is of Jordan petting the animals at the zoo.
