Christmas Eve

Oh gosh, what a wonderful day.  For some reason, I woke up today and truly felt that Christmas was here.  We got to do alot of fun things today.

First off, the kids & I went with Aunt Michelle & Grandparents Nelson to go see "Tangled" {James worked the night before so he was sleeping}.
What a cute movie.  We had originally wanted to go see Narnia, but they were sold out; but I'm glad that we got to go see this.  Madison almost made it through the entire movie happy {honestly, she was a good kid, which made it easy for me}.  You could hear the boys cracking up during the movie, which made me happy.

After the movie, I left the kids with my parents while James & I went to go pick up part 2 of our Christmas present for each other.  Want to know what part 1 is???

Ahhhhhh.

Part 2
This lovely new entertainment center.  I'll have to get a better picture in the morning when it's lighter.  Merry Christmas Cleggs :)

After picking up our Christmas present, James & I picked up the kids and headed home to start working on dinner.  With James having to work at 6pm, we decided to do dinner by ourselves this year.  Sure we missed out on lobster tonight {James' family always does steak & lobster on Christmas Eve}; but I wasn't in the mood to fight over eating dinner early.  My parents & Michelle didn't have any plans and were willing to eat early, so they came over for our very own steak dinner.

Dad & James were the only two to eat their steaks.  Dad & I picked out some pretty big steaks.  Michelle was kind enough to share her leftover steak with her special guy friend {who came over after work to have dinner, dessert & watch movies}.  We also had: corn, shrimp, asparagus, mashed potatoes, mushrooms, and sparkling ciders.  Yummo!  This year for our Birthday cake, James wanted a carrot cake.  Last night I made the cakes up & frosted them today.  Oh my, Oh my......what delicious-ness.  And fat free....well except for the frosting part.

After James had left for work, my Dad helped me with the putting together of our new entertainment media.  We wanted to want our Christmas movies on the "big" screen.  We then watched "Rudolph" & then "Home Alone".

After the movies, we read from the scriptures of Jesus's birth; emphazing that it's Jesus's birthday tomorrow.  I try very hard every year to make sure that the kids understand the meaning of Christmas; granted I need to do better.  I then had the boys lay out their stockings, said prayers, and then tucked them into bed.  I then reminded then to stay in their room in the morning until Mom & Dad come get them {a tradition that I take from my family, plus James get's off at 4am so I want him to get as much sleep as he can}.

I am very excited for tomorrow.  I love giving & I love to see happy people.  I am very exctied to see how Madison reacts to all of this, because she was soo young last year.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!
