Ahhh, Christmas. One of my favorite holidays! What a great year we had this year. It was nice having Michelle home this year & having her around to do the different activities.
James' Christmas started out with working 6pm-12am the 24th for his regular shift & then 12-4am for his holiday shift. What a trooper. Luckily, the kids were good in their bedrooms until 8:30am, giving James a little bit of time to sleep.
Santa brought some fun things for the kids:
That's Jordan jumping up and down because Santa brought him Lego Batman {he begs to play lego star wars on the Xbox all the time}.
Jaxson got some Ironman gear
Santa brought Madi some bracelets & she knew exactly what to do with them.
The kiddo's got a lot of fun stuff. Here's some highlights:
Jaxson got some scriptures because he goes to primary to next year; Jaxson gave Jordan some legos
Madison got a little pink soccer ball {you know, got to start them early :) }; both boys got books from their teachers at school.
Jaxson got some dinosaurs from Jordan & a train set from Mom & Dad. I haven't taken any pictures yet but, James did a fantastic job making a train table for Jaxson & a Dollhouse bookcase for Madi. I had found the plans at Ana-White.com and James made it happen. I'll show pictures later this week :)
The got a globe {now they can get a sense of where Uncle Austin is}; Madi got a cute sparkly purse filled with necklaces.
Jordan's big gift this year was new bike with no training wheels. When James was trying to teach how to ride his bike without training wheels this last summer, we decided that it would be better to wait until we got a bigger bike; make it a whole lot easier. Jordan also got a spiffy new helmet to go along with it.
Madi donning a stocking on top of her head.
After present opening, we had breakfast {blueberry muffins & OJ}, got ready, and then headed over to the "Main" Clegg house to do presents with James' parents & siblings.
We had fun opening up our gifts. The kids had a fun time watching Uncle D play with his new toy helicopter.
Dave got all the grandkids this ride-along train to play with at Grandma's house. The kids had fun taking turns.
I even tied up two of them-you know make a whole western out of it; someone tied to the tracks, tunnels, and everything.
My in-laws got me a tri-pod, which I had to test out
Now I was purposely trying to make a goofy face, and I find it funny that as I was sifting through the pictures, apparently Phil thought he needed too.
After all this excitement, we headed over to my parents house for gifts & dinner.
Michelle had this huge present from her "friend"
He did a good job throwing us off {smart cookie put a weight in the boxes}; she ended up getting a gift card to one of her favorite stores.
Michelle got super excited for her gift that we got her; a gift certificate & coupons for her favorite cookie place. When I went to get her her present, the ladies at the store thought I was pretty awesome for getting my sister this gift; they thought I should earn some brownie points, I told them she could just get me a cookie :).
Kris and the kids also came over in the afternoon for a bit; Tyler came later that night in between shifts.
We got the girls some dress-up princess stuff; they looked awfully cute.
After dinner, we said goodbye to James {he had to go do his 2nd holiday shift & then his regular shift} and then hung out playing and watching tv until way past our bedtimes. It was a very fun Christmas and the boys are very excited to play with everything this next week. Hopefully all these new toys will entertain us this whole week while we're off of school.
Hope everyone else had a wonderful as well!!
