Madison's Birthday Party

So, because it was Madi's First Birthday {still doesn't feel right saying}, we had a big party for her.  It was lots of fun, and I'm glad that my parents let me use their house {I don't think everyone would have fit in our front room}.

Here was the rundown for the night:

I made cupcakes, instead of having to worry about slicing cake up.  I always made: BBQ Beef sandwiches w/ Ranch coleslaw, chips, carrots & dip, baked beans, and drinks.

Madison didn't get a nap this afternoon, so James & I did our best to keep her as happy as possible....this was one of them.  She really did well considering how progressively tired she got throughout the night.
Before the party, Michelle & her guy "friend", worked out in the back raking up the leaves for my Dad.  Nice guy :)
The Pinata.  I guess the Transformers that my  Mom had upstairs wasn't good enough; Madi needed a girly cupcake.
Trying to take pictures of Madison.  I've been kinda dreading taking pictures because it's been so gloomy here, so no good natural light.  Oh how I miss taking pictures outside.
 The Crowd
Uncle D & his CJ......Dave is the only one that I allow to call her that.

The kids were trying to get Madi to laugh.

Brothers helping & they actually waited until we said that they could blow out the candle.

Madison at one point decided that she was going to pick up the cupcake and swear it across her body.

It seems to be the thing at our shin-digs to have a cupcake stuffing contest.  If you look at the pictures, Michelle had a hard time.  Michelle & Dave later got into a frosting fight.

 Done!

Clean-Up
It was a great night.  Madi got some wonderful presents & is a lucky gal.
