I am 28!
I am YOUNG!
I am FABULOUS!
I love my birthdays & today was no exception. Before the kids headed to school this morning, they gave me their gift {which they were so excited about}-a necklace with pendants for each one of their's birthstones. After sending Jordan off to school, I said goodbye to the rest of the brood, and headed off to SLC for a girls day.
My good friend Tiffany came along with me for my birthday adventure. The plan was to go for a studio taping of "Good Things Utah" {a local show-kinda like the View}, have lunch, & go shopping.
Tiff & I were the studio audience; and yes, I was on tv.
The show was a blast. Afterwords, we made our way back onto I-215, and basically got off on an exit on a whim {thinking I might eat at a particular place}. We hit the jackpot because there were tons of places to eat & a Ross store to shop at {one of my favorite places to shop}.
I figured since it was my birthday & all, I should treat myself to one of Olive Gardens special drinks.
The drink was huge.....the glass was tall enough that I either had to sit up, or pull it down to take a swig. But it sure was tasty.
Yep, that's me just being a goofball ;)
After lunch, we headed over to Ross's where I found a new pair of sunglasses, 2 shirts, and a small collander. After touring the Valley Fair Mall, I decided that we needed a treat, so we made our way to Ruby Snap. Oh My. I got the Zoey which is a Blueberry-Lemon-Poppy seed Cookie; so delish. After the sugar rush, we stop by the Ross in Bountiful in hopes of finding more goodies, but we did not succeed :(
After dropping Tiffany off, I came home to my wonderful family, with a husband getting dinner ready. It was so nice to not have to worry about cooking dinner.
I'm so glad that it was such a nice day, that we all could hang outside as James grilled up our steak for fajita's {which were super delicious!}.
Madi was very insistent that she get to go play outside with her brothers. I think this was the first time that she's been outside playing since learning how to walk.
James was a sweetheart & made me a chocolate cake for dessert. Madi liked it just as much as I did.
She had chocolately-cakie goodness all over her face.....I did not; but I still enjoyed it.
Jaxs wanted his picture taken as well....I was happy to oblige.
Later {and to end the night}, after watching "Glee" & putting the kiddos to bed, James & I went and played indoor soccer. We should have birthdays more often because we won tonight!!! Awesome game-Michelle even scored a goal :)
I'm so thankful for my family that loves me so much and treats me so good; I couldn't have done any better-I got perfect :)
