Be patient with me. So much happened on our trip & I'm excited to share it all! I've decided to break it down into days & different activities.
This year was my Dad's family reunion & it was being held down in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. James & I have been excited about this for the last two years.
We left early Wednesday Morning {May 25th} just before midnight {so technically we left the 24th} because we were too wired to go to sleep just to wake up in 4 hours.
We decided to drive down south stopping in Amarillo, Texas for the night. The kids did awesome on the first day. I think being able to sleep through some of it helped out.
I drove through the day, and my...what gorgeous landscapes. We had quite the adventure driving down country highways & smaller towns.
This was through Texas I believe. It was just so different seeing all this openess and not a single mountain.
We got to Amarillo at a descent time, which left us a pretty good chunk of time to have some fun. The boys tried to go swimming, but the pool was a little bit too cold.
We ended the night with some ice cream, and got to bed because we had to be up early again.
