Catching-Up Time

So.  I've realized that it's been a couple weeks since I last updated our blog.  Sorry about that.

Let's talk about Madison.

Her birthday is coming up.  She's almost 2.  She is our Drama Queen.  And although she can throw a mean fit, and she frequently visits her room for "time outs", she is still my little sweetie with her little kisses & her cute little voice.  On few occasions, I have let her stay up later than her brothers, and it's during this wind-down time that I'm able to get Madi talking.  She's pretty stubborn in that department, but I know her speech is good, so she won't be following brother's footsteps at this moment.

Speaking of brothers.......

Jordan had his first First Grade Awards Assembly.  He earned his Associates Degree, which means that he earned the required amount of credits {between 20-25 I believe}.  Jordan seems to be doing great in school.  I hear no complaints from him.

Jordan's also has got a loose tooth.  It better come out soon, because the new one is already there :)

The best part about the awards was the cookie & juice afterwards.  And there were plenty for visiting brother's & sisters.

Last week, we had 2 fun visitors : Logan & David.  Those kids are fun to have around.

Also last week, my body decided that it was high time to get sick.  I'm blaming the hit to the head from a soccer ball for starting something.  After waking up in the middle of the night with a fever & a very sore throat, I headed into the Doctor later that morning.  I wouldn't normally go to the Dr. & pay the copay, but....James & I saw white spots, and that is always a tell-tale sign for me that I've got strep.  I wanted the antibiotics to get me healthy again, because frankly, I can't afford to be sick.  The doctor didn't believe me that I had the possibility of having strep; but, he did the test anyway.  Guess what dude.  I'm positive.  Threw him for a loop.  I'm just glad that he's not my regular doctor.  So on top of getting strep, my body also decided to throw in a head cold of sorts.  It's been a week, and I'm feeling better {although still gunky}, but I think the cold has traveled through the rest of the family.

Today was James' last shift at NUCCC.  Starting Monday, he will now be working for the Ogden Field Office of AP&P.  What does this mean???  James got promoted to an Agent.  He'll have a caseload of Probationers & Paroles.  This is the next step up in his career.  We didn't think he was going to get it, so it was a pleasant suprise.  We are very happy about this new adventure.  No more Sundays.  No more Holidays.  He will switch back to a five-day work week, but with school winding down, I think it will be ok.

Speaking of school....James is graduating December 9th.  I don't think it could come fast enough.  This has been a long process for us to go through.  Having a Daddy go to work & school full-time has been tuff on the kids.  Some nights during this semester, James wouldn't even see the kids.  But, we're almost done.  You can bet that this family will be cheering the loudest when James' name is read during the ceremony.

And I think that's that.

Have a good night ya'll.
