December 25, 2011....Merry Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

This year, Christmas fell on a Sunday.......what better way to start the day than by going to church, singing about Christmas & talking about Jesus.

With our Christmas traditions, the kids don't leave their rooms Christmas morning until Mom & Dad come and get them.  This Christmas was no exception.  We told the kids the night before that we would delay stockings and presents until after church {because it's hard enough getting for 9am church normally}.  James & I had wrapped up both doorways that way nobody would be tempted to look...saving the excitement for later.

Church was wonderful.  I very much enjoyed playing all the different Christmas songs, and the talks were great.

We got home and let the Christmas festivities begin!

Santa was good to us this year.....

Jordan's has been wanting.....begging.....pleading for a skateboard, and look what Santa brought him {even though Mom said that he wasn't big enough yet}.  I swear it took Jordan a little bit to "see" what he had gotten.

Santa also brought the kids underwear & socks, video games, flashlights, jewelry & hairclips, and books.

Santa brought James an Ipod Nano, to help motivate him in his running {espcially with the Academy coming up}.  The first present that the kids opened up from us was a swing set.  They were excited!  We were able to put it up on Monday, and they've had fun swinging & going down the slide.

Santa brought Madi a pretty necklace.  Jaxson got a scooter {like Jordan's but red} from James & I.

James & I got Madison a Tinker Bell 4-Wheeler.....to which she wants nothing to do with.  The boys think it's fun, but she's scared of it.  Jaxson loves watching CSI & Hawaii 5-0 with me, so I thought it would be fun to get him a Microscope so we can "fight" crime together.  Combine this with fun camera's from my Mom, and he's set.

James & I got some presents as well....but this one is my most exciting one....A sliding-compound miter saw.  Yeah.  I'm a dork in love with power tools.

James & I eating some Stroopoffels Santa brought for us.

After getting changed, we headed over to Clegg House to open up even more presents.  Grandma Clegg made blankets for all her grandkids.  Madison decided that she wanted to be a ghost.  The kids had lots of fun.

We then headed over to the Nelson household for of course, more presents.  We are a very spoiled, very blessed family.

Before we headed over to Tyler's house for dinner, we let the boys play their new Wii game.

Tyler & Kris made a wonderful dinner.  Afterwards, we sat down and played Mariokart.

It was a very fun night with family.  We're so very grateful for all our many blessings, and grateful for the chance to spend holidays with family.
