We spent New Year's Eve at our Annual Elder's Quorum Party & Pinewood Derby.
We started out our night with dinner which consisted of all sorts of yummy goodies:
-Baked Potatoes
-Nachos
-Chili
-BBQ Meatballs & Little Smokies
-Various Chips, Crackers, and Cheeseballs
-Pretty of desserts....my favorite being Teresa's Skor Cupcakes
The boys had fun hanging out with their friends & cousins
The main event of the night was the Pinewood Derby. Everyone is allowed to make & bring a car & there are no rules. This year, Jordan decided to make a batman car, except he didn't have time to put on the batman logos, so he decided that it was a secret agent car.
James helped cut out the cars with the boys & Grandpa Nelson helped the boys paint them.
Jaxson wanted a Pirate Ship....luckily we found this mast at Grandma Clegg's house-it worked great!
Here are some of the cars in action...
James got this awesome t-shirt for Christmas-I just had to show ya.
Hudson was cute as always :)
After the Pinewood Derby, we got too:
-Play Dodge Ball
-Light Chinese Lanterns
-Play Games
-Eat yummy desserts :)
By the end of the night, James was exhausted, my knee was hurting, and the kids were hyped up on sugar.
It was a great night spent with Family & Friends. I'm glad that James got to be there the whole time {he was working last year}....it's nice to have somebody to kiss at midnight :)
