I'm being brutally honest.
Life after surgery sucks.
I knew it was going to be hard. I knew that my knee was going to hurt. What I wasn't prepared for was the depression that I seem to be having the last couple of days.
Crying for no reason. Not wanting to do anything. It sucks.
On a lighter note, I got to shower on Friday. It was great. It kind of felt like a big reveal, unwrapping my leg...I didn't know what was under there.
So I've got three incision points, and then there are stitches going down the side of my leg.
I've also got a nice bruise on the backside of my leg.
My knee is also super swollen. Even when there's nothing on my knee, it still feels like I have something on my knee.
Good thing I never thought my legs looked fantastic...because I'll have some lovely scars to show off come Summer time.

Yes, life after surgery sucks! But you look like you're healing well. I didn't really get depressed after surgery, but I was sick for like a week. Between the anesthesia and painkillers I had a hard time keep much down. Either way, it's not easy, especially with kids! Good luck to you!
