We've seemed to make it a tradition (with my Mom working at the State Fair & has access to free tickets) to head to the fair every year. I didn't enter anything this year (because I didn't have a kitchen), but the kids like going & seeing all the animals and exhibits. This year, we invited Uncle D to come along with us....oh, and Daddy because he had the afternoon off :)
Every year we hit up the little farm. What did I learn this year??? That a pig will get up to 270 lbs in the first 5 months. James is now trying to convince Michelle & Derek to put a pig in their yard (along with a goat & some chickens).
Although fake, Madison wanted nothing to do with these chickens.
My boys had a hoot seeing and touching all, and I mean all the animals that they could. Madison wanted nothing to do with them. For weeks she's been telling us that she's ready to ride a sheep; but put her anywhere close to one & she starts freakin' out.
It was with this goat that Jaxson, with the most sweetest voice, asked James, "Daddy, can we please have this goat?"
Only a Clegg family would be mesmerized by a fishing pond. I was walking to the next exhibit, turned back & realized that my family decided to look at the fishes.
On the car ride home, everyone fell asleep. I guess it was that exhausting.
