Saturday, Jordan, Michelle, Grandpa Nelson & I drove down to the zoo for a race. Michelle & Dave did this race two years ago, and Michelle wanted to do it again this year with Jordan. So I signed Jordan up for the Kids Dash.
We had to get early to make it down to the zoo, and when we got there, it was just a bit nippy.
After the Classic Race, I decided that I would "run" with Jordan, more-so be a supporter to keep him running.

After the race...we didn't run hard enough...our cheeks aren't red ;)
Hogle Zoo provided breakfast of assortment Danishes, fresh fruit & real Orange Juice...it was delicious!
Jordan came in 5th, 4th boy overall. He got a participants ribbon.

Michelle came in at 20:38 (?)....which would have been spectacular except after talking to a couple other runners, determined that the course was a 1/2 mile short.
Jordan was clingy for different periods of time while there (please ignore the gut).
Hogle Zoo brought out a beautiful owl...Michelle kind of wanted her picture with it :)
Michelle ended up get 3rd place in her age category (20-29). Go Aunt Shell!

I love that Jordan is becoming quite the little runner. I hope Gideon does that too. I need a running buddy. ;)
