Thanksgiving 2012

Time to play a little catch-up....

For thanksgiving this year, we kept it pretty simple.  James & I really wanted to make dinner, and really put our kitchen to the test. I mean, I've got a nice double-convection oven that needed to get a work out :)

My Mom & Dad plus Michelle and eventually Derek were our guests this year.  We kind of strayed away from our traditional food choices.  We had our fabulous brined Turkey, homemade Cranberry sauce, Corn Chowder Bake, Roasted Sweet Potatoe & Butternut Squash, Brussel Sprouts & Bacon, Rolls, and various veggies.

My kids got spoiled on Thanksgiving....James took them to get Donuts & OJ for breakfast, and then let them pick out some soda for dinner later on.

We designated the boys to the "kids" table....

My yummy, delicious plate of food.

Madison & Jaxson took turns eating the drumstick...which they stole off of Derek's plate...it was quite hilarious.

I ended the night with some shopping....and if you were on Facebook that night, you will remember what a horrible decision I made in going to Old Navy at midnight...kind of ridiculous, but hey...I got some good deals.  After a couple hours of sleep, I got up, and took my family out to Heber to spend some quality time with Paul's family.
