Utah Santa Run 2012

The Saturday after Thanksgiving, my boys dressed up as Santa & ran.  Michelle & Dave had signed up for the race, and as part of their registration, they could add  on a kid for free (yay for free races!)

The adult costumes were fabulous...

While we waited for the race to start, we had one of the businesses stop by and give us free bags of flavored popcorn...Madie loved it!

Madison loved snuggling with her Daddy.

So James & I decided that Jaxson wouldn't be able to run the entire 5k...so we told him that he should scooter along the race route.  Apparently our little boy was quite the hit going up and down the parade route.  People were asking him to give them high fives, and shouting out, "Scooter Santa".  Michelle said that for the most part, Jaxson ignored the crowd...he was so focused on the race.

Jordan on the other hand, ran the entire race.  He said that his heels hurt for a little bit, but he was able to run the entire 5k in 31 or 32 minutes.....so much better than what I could do :)

After the race....

After the race, we stuck around for the electrical parade and for Santa to come past.  We all huddled together, as it got colder with the sun gone.

The parade was so-so, but the definite highlights was watching to see if the floats & marching bands would walk into the horse poo that was dropped towards the beginning of the parade.

Santa came last...

After the parade, we headed home, had some dinner, and then sent James off to the theaters with his bros to catch Red Dawn.
