Whew! What a month! Looking back, I can tell that we did alot of fun things. Here's what happened in the Clegg household:
March 2
James, JeNae, Jordan & Jaxson went down to SLC to watch Shrek! the musical. The kids enjoyed it for the most part; we're glad we saw it, but won't pay the money to see it again.
March 6
Happy Birthday Aunt Michelle! And what do ya get??? Your very own chicken. Yep. That's right, we have chickens. We've decided to raise chickens for their eggs, and we all know that if any of them are roosters...well...off with their heads. Once they get big enough, they'll move to Michelle & Derek's house where they already have a nice large established coop. Currently they are residing in our shred.
March 11
Jordan had a field trip to McKay Dee Hospital. They put on a program for the kids helping them understand what happens in the hospital & basically not be scared. Jordan got picked out of all the 2nd Graders to have a cast put on his arm. He was so excited for this!
March 15
JeNae turned the big 3-0. James surprised her with an afternoon at the spa complete with a massage, manicure & pedicure. Afterwards, we met up with Grandma & Grandpa Nelson at Cafe Rio for dinner. We were then whisked off to the Clegg's House where family and friends had gathered for a surprise party. It was a great day!
Also, Paul & Samantha had Baby Oliver...no matter my insistence of not wanting to share my birthday, the cute babe came anyways.
Paul & Sammie let our family come up the next day and see this new little one.
March 18
Arby's Family Night. I was in charge of our PTA/School family-fundraiser night. It was a lot of fun, and although the guest of honor was late, we still had a great night.
March 19
Our local Chick-fil-A hosted a Super Hero night, where if you dressed up, you could get a free kids meal. Lots of fun!
March 20
Phil & Adrienne had a baby Girl...Kate. Madison was the only one right in guessing that it was a girl.
March 22
After searching for a couple of years, we finally found a trailer we could call our own. It's a nice little started trailer & we can't wait to take it out camping!
March 23
The annual Goldenwest Race. Sadly this was the only picture I got...dang camera batteries being dead & all. Jordan did a great job, improving on his time from last year (I think he did it in 30 minutes). I tried my best at running it, and boy were my shins paying for it the next couple of days.
March 24
We headed up to Heber to listen to Jenni's Missionary Farewell Talk (she is Jame's cousin). After never considering of going on a mission, she was inspired to go after President Monson's announcement that they were lowering the age limit for sister missionaries (she had just turned 19). I know that she'll do a great job, and after watching her grow over the last 9 years, I can't wait to see what she'll do on her mission. After church, we headed to the Dairy Keen for lunch. The best thing about having Dairy Keen after hours is the free use of Ice Cream machines & Slush Machine (James was in heaven!)
March 25
National Waffle Day & the first day of our Spring Break. After breakfast we headed back up to Heber to spend the day with Samantha & the boys. I also took some time to photograph Oliver & take the kids for some hamburgers.
March 27
Austin deployed over seas with Freddie. Of course I cried when he called before he left...I'm a girl. But truly, I know that everything will be fine & that he'll come home safely. I know that he's trained right, his dog will protect him, and that his fellow Marines will protect him. Jaxson can't wait to see again when he comes home for Halloween.
March 31
Easter! This year it was with the Nelson's, so we invited Mom & Dad over for dinner....and then had Michelle & Derek crash too.
The Easter bunny brought each of the kids a dart gun, to which they have had a fun time playing with since.
And that's about it...Here's hoping for another fun month, and as Jordan put it at the beginning of the week, the kids have 8 more weeks of school left....What???
