Elise @ 5 & 6 Months

I figure I should write down what's happening with Elise at the moment.  Two weeks ago, Elise had her 6 month check-up.  She weighed in at a whopping 12 lbs 6 ozs & measured 25 inches long.  She is cute and tiny.  Because she did not gain an appropriate amount of weight according their guidelines, our Doctor ordered for some blood-work, marked "failure to thrive".  Really? Failure to thrive??  Ridiculous if you ask me.  It made me upset only because our doctor didn't mention anything about.  Fine.  Don't listen to the parent who tells you that all her children have been light weights.  Don't look at the child who is sitting there, with a bubbly smile, talking to herself...does she look like she is "failing to thrive"?.  Jeez...this child eats all the time-I just don't know where she puts it.

So from this well-child check, we got to: take her to get blood-work, hip x-rays, consult with Pediatric surgeon...which led to an ultrasound & x-ray.  We found out that Elise has a cyst on the back on her head.  It will be removed, just not sure when.  Even though the ultrasound of her hips turned out normal, and all other tests on her hips have been normal, we still had to take her to get x-rays of her hips because she came out breech.
What can Elise do....
Well, she can sit up.
She's pretty good about it.  Has totally skipped over the "rolling around" stage....she'd much rather sit up & play, than lay down.

She likes eating table food.  I decided to make our own baby food (carrots & sweet potatoes for now).
I'll give her anything that is soft...she's only got 2 teeth on the bottom :)
