I must be Crazy

So I decided this morning that since we missed the Ogden Pioneer Parade, that the boys & I would go on an adventure. So we packed up some water, and headed out the door. I decided on our adventure today that we would walk to Shopko & Babies R' Us, and then head over to the mall and walk around there. The goal for today was to walk. I looked it up on Mapquest and it said that from our house to the mall was 1.32 miles-it sure did seem longer than that. The boys did pretty well going to the stores, but after we were done in Shopko, Jordan told me that it was time to go home and eat bologna sandwiches. I asked Jordan if we could continue our adventure and maybe get food a little bit later-Jordan said that it was ok to continue the adventure. We made our way to the mall, got some food and sat down. Jordan then told me that he had to go potty-I told him to wait-he apparently couldn't wait and completely soaked his clothes. So needless to say, that cut off our adventure. I did go to the bathroom and tried to rinse out his clothes and I tried to use the hand dryer to somewhat dry the clothes, but Jordan ended up walking home in wet clothes. My lesson in this: take your kid to the bathroom, start packing an extra pair of underwear and shorts for Jordan. By the time we got home, I didn't have any strength to punish Jordan and thought that the walking home in wet clothes was punishment enough-I think he agreed. The nice thing was that it tuckered out both boys and they are sound asleep in their beds taking a nap. I don't think that we'll be walking to the mall any time soon, as least until summers over.

Tahat is funny! It doesn't seem like it should be that long, but up hill in wet clothes would definately be punishment!
