Last week, James took the boys on a camping trip up Southfork. Madison & I kept ourselves entertained though with free slurpees, free chicken & race watching.
Madison & I started out our weekend by staying up late Thursday night (11:30pm!)...I let her have a sleepover in my room, since we were the only two home; she thought it was pretty cool.
On Friday, Chick-fil-A had Cow Appreciation Day & if you dressed up like a cow, you got a free meal. How could we deny that opportunity! There was a lot of people, but the two of us were able to order our food quickly & find a spot to sit down & eat. I love our local Chick-fil-A because they have some of the best customer service!
Saturday morning, we got up super early to head out to Farmington... Cami & Ethan were running the half marathon & since we love supporting our family (and it was close) we had to go! I packed up some breakfast & we were able to find a good spot to sit & wait for the cousins to come running.
Madison passed the time by collecting Potato Bugs.
She wanted to bring her collection home...I quickly vetoed that saying that we had plenty of bugs at home. She would eventually relocate all the bugs to a "cave".
Cami & Ethan did great! Anyone that can run that long & far is awesome in my book.
After the race, we had to make it home quickly. After showering, I made my way back south towards the Bountiful Temple. Scott's leaving on his mission in a couple of weeks & was going through the temple on Saturday, so of course I had to tag along with one of our favorite families! It was a great couple of hours spent with these guys. We will definitely miss Scott (he's going to the Illinois Chicago Mission), but James & I are super proud of him.
The rest of our Saturday was pretty relaxing. We caught the tail-end of the Men's Gold Cup Game & then later we watched Real Salt Lake play; can't go wrong with Soccer.
